The Olympics Tag & Shout Out

I saw this tag on amarixe's vlog channel, AllisonVlogs, and I thought it was fantastic, so I thought I might do it, and I tag all of you!

The olympics are just so amazing, it's great competition and so much spirit from everyone but there's also fantastic sportsmanship between all the athletes which is awesome to see! The olympics are just so amazing to watch and to see everyone's massive efforts and to just think about how hard they've worked.

I also absolutely love seeing in the opening ceremony everyone's smiling and happy faces, and all the competitors that come from the biggest countries and the smallest countries and being so happy for them that they have been given this opportunity to compete on the largest scale. Especially the smaller countries that have teams of just a few people, their smiles are absolutely priceless.

Also, I just wanted to give a shout out to a fellow Aussie blogger, beautywithgenevieve who is just so awesome and you guys should definitely check her out!

Oh and quick question guys, do you prefer 'random' tags on this blog or my other blog, unspentthoughts?

Anyway, now to the questions, and I will have them down below without my answers so it will be easier for you all to do it.

THE QUESTIONS:
1.) Which season of the Olympics do you prefer, Summer or Winter?

I definitely absolutely love both but in the end, I always prefer to watch the winter olympics more and I love more of the winter olympics events.

2.) What are your favorite Summer Olympics events? Winter Olympics events?

My favourite summer olympics events would have to be the men and women hockey and the tennis but there isn't that much coverage of the tennis on Australian television. My favourite winter olympics events are definitely the alpine skiing, any slalom but I love to watch the giant slalom. I still love to watch the snowboard cross, snowboard half pike, ski cross, moguls and aerials as well as the bobsleigh and ice hockey.

3.) If you were an Olympic athlete, which event would you want to compete in and why?

Definitely hockey because out of all the sports, that's the one that I am the best at, and hockey is probably my favourite sport.

4.) Is your country known to excel in any Olympic events?

Yes, I think Australia does pretty well in many events, but Australia definitely does better in the summer olympics as opposed to the winter olympics. I think Australia's always been really good in the swimming and we have some really great rowers and athletes in track and field, awesome hockey teams and beach volleyballers and some great athletes in other sports.

5.) What is your most memorable Olympic moment?

My most memorable is not even while watching the olympics but it was in the 2000 Sydney olympics and I was 4 years old and I remember being at home in my living room singing and dancing to the olympics' mascot soundtrack haha! But I also remember when Cathy Freeman became a national icon in 2000 Sydney and of course, the talent of Ian Thorpe and other fantastic Aussie swimmers at the 2004 Athens games.

6.) What are you most excited about for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games?

Definitely the hockey, I'm super excited about that! Also just excited to see everyone trying hard and competing against the best, and just putting their all into an event, it's very inspiring!

Day 09 — Your favorite pair of shoes

My favourite pair of shoes are these pair of red sandals from Country Road that I've had for a while and I wear them all the time. They're just so comfortable and match with everything!

Day 08 — A photo that makes you laugh

I can't help how hilarious this picture is. My best friends, Katie and Hannah and I spent the day playing around with those funny backgrounds on Photo Booth on the Mac and I just can't stop laughing at how stupid our expressions are and of course, where Hannah's hands are!

Day 07 — Your Favorite animal

My favourite animals are giraffes! I have quite a strange obsession with them, I don't know why. Maybe it's their fur pattern or the fact that they're so tall and don't compare to many other animals but I don't know. I've always loved them ever since I was little. I've had little giraffe statues in my room when I was younger and I've had a few giraffe teddies that I've loved dearly. My favourite is one that my best friend got me for my 16th birthday and I absolutely adore it, it's probably one of my favourite gifts that I've ever received.

Me and my giraffe pillow pet!
Although I do have a dilemma, I still don't have a name for this pillow pet. All my other teddies on my bed have names and I have worked out that this giraffe is going to be a girl, so any name suggestions?

Day 06 — Anything Hello Kitty

So I'm not the biggest fan of Hello Kitty, and I don't think I have any Hello Kitty things anymore. When I was little, I did have a few Hello Kitty things that I used and some were gifted to me but I wasn't obsessed or anything, I just thought it was cute. Now that I'm older, I don't really like it anymore and feel kind of meh with it. I really need an actual word for meh, because I feel that way about a lot of things. So if you know a more sophisticated word for that, please tell me hahaha.

Sorry I didn't have anything Hello Kitty to show, so I just discussed it. I know it's poor performance but I really didn't want to just skip this one.

What's in my toiletry bag for a weekend trip?

Hey guys, so this post is gonna look really average because I'm posting from my phone. I just wanted to show you some quick packing tips. I'm going to the snow this weekend for some skiing and I'm only taking skin care stuff as I'm only there for one night and I don't really like to wear makeup when I'm skiing.

Anyway, so what I'm taking are Philosophy's purity made simple one step facial cleanser in a little bottle because this is a great basic cleanser. I'm also taking a mini travel Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions toner that I got in a gift. A tip is to keep little containers that you get with samples cuz they're great for travelling. Then my Body Shop Tea Tree Oil, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion and a sample of the By Terry Firming Eye Cream. I also have my Neutrogena Oil Free Face Sunscreen because sun is really strong at the snow because it also reflects off the snow. Then I just have some cotton tips and cotton pads and my toothpaste, toothbrush and floss is in a separate bag with my parent's stuff.

So that's it and I hope that was somewhat informative.

What are you guys doing this weekend?
